Spirits is the game about a lost soul in a purgatorial consciousness state trying to find its way to the Horizon – completing the passage of it entering the afterlife. Along the way, the soul meets other souls on their way to the Horizon, and upon gathering their memories, is able to use their abilities – the blazing fast speed of the cheetah, or the leap of the kangaroo, for example. I had developed the core mechanic of these powers, which included manipulating character movement as well as unlock conditions. I also was charged with creating the basis of the dialogue system with spirits recounting their memories. In addition, I was in charge of most of the oversight of the project, coordinating meetings and creating scheduled responsibilities.
